A Life in Music
Two careers: one as a professional musician and another in marketing. It was time for a reboot. The first half of my life was spent playing in bands and ensembles, and although I still play frequently, I rarely venture outside for a performance. The second half was spent in marketing, working for a few of the largest musical instrument brands in the world. I was ready for a change. So, I started this project, Salutati, as a way of collecting the results of my endless search for new music and art and for a means to get closer to the music itself.
Coluccio Salutati was an important scholar and political and cultural leader in Florence, Italy. Considered by some to be the grandfather of the Italian Renaissance movement, he spent his fortunes amassing the largest library in Florence. His impact on the cultural achievements of this period are immeasurable.
Started in 2011 as a fun project under the name Nude Ants (that’s another story), I hope to dedicate more and more time to this project. Please stop by often and leave a comment or suggestion.
